New Jersey's Clean Energy Program™ (NJCEP) promotes increased energy efficiency and the use of clean, renewable sources of energy including solar, wind, geothermal, and sustainable biomass. The results for New Jersey are a stronger economy, less pollution, lower costs, and reduced demand for electricity. NJCEP offers financial incentives, programs, and services for residential, commercial, and municipal customers.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) is a regulatory authority with a statutory mandate to ensure safe, adequate, and proper utility services at reasonable rates for customers in New Jersey.  Accordingly, the NJBPU regulates critical services such as natural gas, electricity, water, telecommunications and cable television. The Board addresses issues of consumer protection, energy reform, deregulation of energy and telecommunications services and the restructuring of utility rates to encourage energy conservation and competitive pricing in the industry. The Board also has responsibility for monitoring utility service and responding to consumer complaints.

GreenFaith is New Jersey ’s interfaith coalition for the environment. Founded in 1992, GreenFaith inspires, educates and mobilizes people of diverse spiritual backgrounds to rediscover their relationships with the sacred in nature and to restore the earth for future generations.  GreenFaith manages outreach programs in New Jersey that facilitate the donation of CFL light bulbs to residential customers to promote energy efficiency and that promote and recruit customers to participate in home energy audits.

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2008 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 29 million cars — all while saving $19 billion on their utility bills.

Earth Day Network (EDN) grew out of the original Earth Day in 1970. Earth Day Network is a driving force steering environmental awareness around the world. Through EDN, activists connect, interact, and have an impact on their communities, and create positive change in local, national, and global policies. EDN's international network reaches over 17,000 organizations in 174 countries. Its domestic programs engage 5,000 groups and over 25,000 educators, coordinating millions of community development and environmental protection activities throughout the year. Earth Day is the only event celebrated simultaneously around the globe by people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities. More than a billion people participate in Earth Day each year.

Kilowatt Ours is a nonprofit organization led by film director, Jeff Barrie, who created an award-winning environmental documentary that has become a national movement to promote energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy, inspiring people to conserve energy and choose renewable power. GMF works with Kilowatt Ours to promote energy efficiency by donating the Kilowatt Ours DVD film and screening rights for viewing by New Jersey schools participating in its fundraising program sponsored by New Jersey's Clean Energy Program™ and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. In addition, the Kilowatt Ours environmental teaching curriculum is made available to all participating schools throughout New Jersey.
