  CFL Fundraising Program

Green Market Fundraising (www.greenmarketfundraising.com) raises money for schools and groups by providing
a fundraising program that facilitates the sale of eco-friendly alternatives to day-to-day consumer products.
Green Market Fundraising (GMF) works as a partner with utilities and state/local governments to facilitate the
use of energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), weatherization products and water conservation
products.  The program helps our clients achieve energy efficiency (EERS) and renewable energy
(RPS) goals.

The GMF program is similar to other familar fundraising programs (e.g., wrapping paper, candy), but focuses on the distribution and sale of products designed to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy and/or water conservation.  Each fundraising program is tailored to the needs and goals of the client and the GMF team works with the client to structure a program that addresses specific client goals.
GMF Provides Guidance to Clients on the Following Key Program Areas
  • Product selection (e.g., standard CFLs, specialty CFLs, weatherization products, etc.)
  • Marketing materials (e.g., order forms, return evelopes, parent letters)
  • Product pricing and fundraising percentage
  • Incentive structure for individuals/groups/teachers
  • Customer service level and delivery time frames
  • Lead generation focus for other energy efficiency and renewable energy programs
  • Use of appropriate technologies (e.g., email marketing, text messaging, etc.)
